Welcome to the Red Lodge Longhouse Program! Red Lodge is a structured educational program that takes students through the first three gateways of the Sweet Medicine SunDance (SMSD) Path. Experienced teachers guide students through one gateway per calendar year, so it takes three years to complete Red Lodge. Students commit to one year at a time, similar to a college or university program.

The Red Lodge Longhouse is about learning to mature and achieve balance. The first three SMSD gateways are designed to teach us how to do the three G's: "Grow up, Get over it, and Get on with life." Each year the student receives a "Gateway Guidebook" that lists the specific requirements for that gateway.

These teachings provide knowledge that most of us never received, but have always hungered for, such as how to achieve balance among our emotional, mental, physical, spiritual and sexual aspects. Realistic, natural and frank, these beautiful teachings provide solutions to many of our unanswered questions about self, life and others. They hold the promise for each of us to become a balanced, sacred human being.
