The Deer Tribe Metis Medicine Society (DTMMS)

The Deer Tribe Metis Medicine Society was founded in 1986 by Harley SwiftDeer Reagan (Elder's Name of Thunder Strikes) for the purpose of gathering, translating and teaching the Wheels and Keys of the Sweet Medicine SunDance (SMSD) Path of Turtle Island. Mandated and guided by the Twisted Hairs Metis Medicine Society Council of Elders, the Deer Tribe also provides training and guidance for apprentices working the "gateway" process of personal growth and spiritual awakening in this Path.

DTMMS is a 501c(3) not-for-profit organization.
Donations are tax deductible as permitted by law.

We celebrate the acquisition of the new Rainbow Powers Center as a completion of years of planning, prayer, intending, and financial contributions by our apprentice community, students and friends. And now we are renewing our capital campaign fund raising campaign efforts to support completion of the necessary renovations and make the Center move-in ready.

In alignment with one of DTMMS' primary goals, general donations are used to fund the creation and improvement of our publications and programs, dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of the Sweet Medicine SunDance Path wheels and keys, as well as for operational and other needs. As noted above, DTMMS is a 501c(3) not-for-profit organization. Donations are tax deductible as permitted by law.
